Your professional record
Papillon Translations Ltd uses your contact details, language capabilities, experience, qualifications, professional evidence and availability to assess your application, manage our supplier relationship and administer assignments. Account and security records protect access. We rely on steps towards and performance of our supplier agreements where applicable, and legitimate interests in supplier assessment, quality assurance and security.
Authorised Papillon personnel can inspect your profile and uploaded evidence. Your record is not a public directory listing. You can view and update it in your workspace. Evidence is held in private storage in the existing Papillon Core environment in the UK. Our site, hosting and email providers also process information needed to operate the service; see our wider privacy information in the Policies register.
Assignments and quality review
Registration is an application, not accreditation, employment, a guarantee of work or acceptance of a particular rate. Papillon verifies professional suitability separately. Each assignment identifies the service, offered rate, currency, unit and deadline. Accept only work for which you are qualified and available, protect client confidentiality, and use only the tools and processing routes permitted in the assignment brief.
Access client documents only for your assigned work. Do not share them, use them for unrelated purposes, or upload them to external AI services without Papillon's specific authorisation. Review decisions record the reviewer, findings and document version. An independent reviewer must be a different person from the translator.
Bid use and optional marketing
Your registration does not authorise automatic inclusion of your name or CV in bids. We ask about each proposed bid and confirm its requirements and your agreement separately. Choose “Do not use for bids” to stop new approaches for that purpose. You may choose to receive information about optional paid resources; that choice is separate, can be withdrawn, and does not affect professional selection.
Retention and your choices
We retain records while needed for the supplier relationship and for applicable contractual, financial, dispute and audit obligations. We review inactive or unsuccessful records and remove information no longer needed. Withdrawing permission stops new bid-sharing; records already submitted may need to be retained for the procurement or contract. Contact stevekent@papillontranslations.com to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, to object to processing or to withdraw marketing consent. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Do not upload passports, bank statements, health information, criminal-record certificates or client-confidential examples in the initial CV field. We request any necessary additional vetting through the appropriate controlled process.
